As many know, San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District purchased the property and Tres Lagos water in March of 2022. While we still await a finalized proposal on use of the site, it was purchased with use as a Mitigation bank in mind. This is a conservation program which allows property exchanges to enable more appropriate and safe locations for housing. It means Harmony would stay open, and housing gets built where it is needed without greater flood and fire risk to the community. Open space, trails, as well as proposals to meet the desperate need for water infrastructure are all being considered. More details to come in the Fall of 2022.
